Built in the UK and supplied with an excellent 10-year anti-rot guarantee, this windowless 8x6 shed is an overlap, dip-treated, apex, wooden shed offering a high quality build and value for money. As part of Forest Garden's The Better Shed Range, it has an intelligent modular design which makes it easier to assemble and much stronger than other wooden sheds.
This shed is constructed from 7mm overlap cladding on a solid 28mm frame. Its smaller modular panels mean more framing than the average shed; therefore, this 8x6 shed is stronger and less likely to warp. Wherever the panels join together, cover strips keep the shed weathertight.
The 14mm pressure-treated solid timber floor includes pressure-treated bearers, so you can store heavier tools and machinery with complete confidence, and without any concern over ground moisture. The 8mm OSB apex roof includes a strong metal truss bracket, to reinforce the structure, and includes a felt covering - colour may vary.
You can gain easy access to this shed via a single door, reinforced with double-Z framing. It can be hung with a left or right-hand opening - the choice is entirely yours. Tamper-proof hidden hinges and a padlock-ready hasp and staple fastening (padlock not included) help keep valuable items safe.
The 2 PET-glazed windows are made from recycled materials, completely shatterproof and will never discolour or weaken over time. They provide plenty of natural light and can be fitted either side of the shed - again, the choice is yours.
Other notable features include high eaves, offering plenty of headroom and the opportunity to store taller items, as well as smooth-planed barge boards and a finial, both of which enhance the shed's attractive traditional appearance.
Forest Garden's wooden sheds are always built using FSC®-certified timber, so are exclusively sourced from sustainable, well-managed forests. This particular shed comes dip-treated and should be coated in a quality wood preservative, once a year, to maintain its smart appearance and validate the 10-year anti-rot guarantee.
All the necessary fixtures and fittings are included, along with clear instructions for a simple assembly.
A professional installation service and a pressure-treated shed base are available as optional upgrades, as is a lean-to kit, offering you additional sheltered garden storage space. Please note that this lean-to kit is pressure-treated, making it a lighter shade of wood to the shed.

Wooden Shed Base Kit
As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution.
The wooden shed base consists of a framework that is made from UC4 incised timber which has been pressure treated. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years.
Size of base: 7.5cm (h) x 236cm (w) x 182.6cm (d)
Plastic Shed Base Kit
Quick and simple to install, the 8x6 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.
To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 40mm. This pack contains 20 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.
Please be advised that we do not assemble plastic shed bases as part of our installation service. You must prepare the base yourself in advance of the installers' visit.

Making British Gardens Great
At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.
With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.
We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.
Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.
(Certification number TT-COC-001790, Issue date 5 March 2015)
Well made in Britain
The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.
All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.
Helping Everyone Thrive
We like to do our bit for charity and are proud to support Thrive. Thrive uses gardening as therapy to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or those who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable.
